Strategic Marketing
A good marketing plan can make a mediocre product or service seem like the best choice. It’s sad but true.
With search engines focusing so heavily on making a better experience for their users; Folks see a business at the top of the organic search engine listings and instantly that listing is the best choice( at least in the consumers mind). Sometimes they are the best choice but it’s definitely not always the case. You probably see it in your own industry. You know you’re better than your competitors and it drives you nuts! They just have better marketing than you do.
As a Denver Internet Marketing Consultant I see it all the time. I can’t tell you how often I see a product or service that’s sub-par, making boat loads of money just because of their marketing.
One of the problems I often see is business owners that can’t wrap their head around the opportunities they’re missing. They finally get a website for their business and they think that magically customers are going to start rolling in. That’s like opening a business in the middle of nowhere and expecting customers to fill your store. That would be nice but it just isn’t realistic. You could have the best product or service in the world but unless you promote it so consumers know about it, they won’t buy from you. It isn’t because they don’t want to; they just don’t know they have the option.
As a business, maybe you try to do your own Search Engine Marketing but have had limited or no successes. Maybe you’ve had a “Seo company” that offered you the world to get you to sign a contract but never delivered. You learned from that mistake and aren’t about to let that happen again. I don’t blame you! I personally don’t use contracts. I still believe in the value of a person’s word and a hand shake but that’s just me. I like my clients to know that I have some skin in the game. If I don’t deliver, my clients can leave at anytime. It’s never happened but if I don’t deliver they know it’s always an option. I’m not saying that contracts are a bad idea…I just don’t feel it’s the best thing for me or my clients.
Folks often assume that Internet Marketing is expensive. That’s a very common misconception. Sure, it can be very expensive in some industries. Keep in mind that those are industries that are making a lot of money from every client. How much money does a dentist or a real estate agent make from one patron? For most of my local clients, it’s very inexpensive. In fact it’s far less expensive than TV, radio or print ads and its way more effective!
Ok, I’m off my soap box!
The point I want to make here is, just because you have not had good results so far doesn’t mean you should give up. Your competition is making serious money from the internet and you can too. You just need to find someone that actually knows what they are doing and truly has your best interests in mind. If they don’t perform, they won’t have your business. It really is that simple. They should be making you money otherwise there is no reason to keep them around. It’s about you and the success of your business.
People are spending a lot of money out there. If you’re not making that money…your competition is! Every day you wait you’re losing out. I can’t imagine you are fine with that.
You can grow your business and make a lot more money. The opportunity is there…You just need to take it!
I’m sure you want your business to succeed and I want that for you too. Today is the day! It’s about time you do something about it.
